Privacy Policy and Office Procedures

Information disclosed in therapy is confidential and will not be released without the client's written consent. There are circumstances, however, in which a therapist is mandated by state law to disclose confidential information without the client's permission. These circumstances are:

    1. Clear intent to harm oneself or someone else
    2. Abuse/ neglect of a child or an elderly person
    3. Domestic violence
    4. A written order from a judge to provide information in connection with certain            legal proceedings.

The rate for therapy is $150 for a 50 minute session for individuals, couples, or families. Payment is accepted at the time of service. I have chosen to limit my insurance participation due to difficulties with managed care and concerns about confidentiality, but I am willing to file insurance for you if you have out-of-network benefits. You would need to check with your insurance company to find out about deductibles and other requirements.

Clients are asked to give 24-hour notice when an appointment must be cancelled. Clients will be charged for missed appointments and appointments cancelled without 24-hour notice.
